New Iran-Made Smart Scanner Keeps Flame Alive in Industries
“Flame is very vital in oil, gas, refineries, petrochemical complexes, fossil power plants and other industries. For instance, desalination furnaces in the oil industry, gas turbo compressors in the gas industry, product process furnaces in the petrochemical industry and refineries, and boilers in the power plant require flame. Therefore, the process of creating and monitoring flame continuity in the mentioned industries is necessary and unavoidable,” said Reza Shafiqi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
He added that the flame scanner equipment is a knowledge-based product with different types of uses based on the needs of the audience.
“The smart scanner is a set of complex software algorithms, hardware modules, optical and electro-optical devices, and mechanical components that are designed and manufactured by the experts of our company according to the world's latest technologies and the required international standards,” Shafiqi said.
“Flame monitoring systems or flame scanners are among the vital data-x-items of equipment like turbo compressors or boilers in industries and the product’s main consumers are oil, gas, refinery and petrochemical industries and power plants a in which flame plays an essential and vital role,” he stressed.
In a relevant development in May, researchers of a knowledge-based company in Iran had also succeeded in manufacturing a flame detector which can be used to detect visible and invisible radiation in fire alarm systems.
“Flame detector is the newest product of our company which is used to detect visible and invisible radiation in fire alarm systems, specially F&G systems,” Shahed Farahani, a member of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
He added that the detector has been designed for flame detection and provides the possibility of detecting the smallest flames in less than one second, noting, “It is widely used in environments like refineries and high-risk industries.”
“Flame detector sensors that produce smoke and gas and are knowledge-based have been made in Iran for the first time.The circuit, board and body of all these products have been designed by the company and only the body parts are made outside the company,” Farahani said.
