"The method of using the sensor for water detection in hydrocarbons has been fully and accurately assessed and the product is ready to be presented to relevant industries, including the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIROC), petrochemicals across the country, companies that produce all types of oil for hydraulic engine, oil for transformer of power plants, nuclear industries and refineries in Iran," Omidreza Mousavi, a faculty member of the Islamic Azad University’s Bushehr branch, told ANA.

According to the inventor, the sensor, which has been designed and produced with the aim of detecting water in hydrocarbons, is ready to be offered to relevant industries, including the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIROC), petrochemicals across the country, companies that produce all types of hydraulic engine oil and various refineries.

Mousavi noted that this product is widely used in the process of quick and accurate detection of water in hydrocarbons in oil, gas, petrochemicals and related industries.

Iranian experts have found innovative ways to improve productivity in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.

Several specialized group has been formed in order to carry out research and attain new applied sciences, design, and equip industries with a focus on oil, gas, and petrochemical units.

One of these research groups consists of full-time chemistry engineering faculty members of the Islamic Azad University, Gachsaran branch, Ph.D. students of the University, and chemistry engineering experts with industrial experience.

Over the past few years, the oil ministry has been seriously supporting knowledge-based companies and startups, and several events, exhibitions, and panels have been held to encourage the mentioned companies’ contribution to the country’s oil and gas industry.
